Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Departure from Sealdah
Your Dooars journey begins from Sealdah Railway Station, where you will board the Kanchanjanga Express at 8:30 PM in sleeper class. Travelers can also upgrade to AC 2-tier or 3-tier by paying an additional amount.
Day 2 – Arrival at New Mal, Medla Watch Tower & Gorumara Stay
After arriving at New Mal Junction, you will be transferred to your booked resort near Gorumara. After lunch and some rest, visit Medla Watch Tower, known for its wildlife views and peaceful surroundings.
You may also enjoy a bullock cart ride and experience a tribal dance performance, offering a glimpse of local rural life and culture. Return to the resort for dinner and overnight stay at Gorumara.
Day 3 – Lava & Neora Valley Excursion
After breakfast, head towards Lava Monastery and Neora Valley National Park. Lava is famous for its pine forests, cool weather, old monastery, and winter snowfall.
Later, explore Neora Valley with a government guide, a forest area known for its rich biodiversity and rare wildlife like the Red Panda. Return to the hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 – Samsing, Suntalekhola, Rocky Island & Chapramari
Start the day with an excursion to Samsing, Suntalekhola, and Rocky Island, known for scenic hills, greenery, river views, and trekking-friendly surroundings.
After lunch, visit Chapramari Watch Tower, where you may spot wildlife such as wild elephants, one-horned rhinoceros, deer, boars, and leopards. In the evening, enjoy the natural beauty and local cultural atmosphere before returning for overnight stay at Gorumara.
Day 5 – Murti River, Jaldapara & Phuentsholing Visit
After checkout from the Gorumara hotel, travel towards Jaldapara while visiting the scenic Murti River on the way. After hotel check-in and lunch, continue to Phuentsholing (Bhutan) for sightseeing and local exploration.
The natural beauty and peaceful surroundings of Phuentsholing make this visit a memorable part of the tour. Return to the Jaldapara hotel for overnight stay.
Day 6 – Buxa, Jayanti, Rajabhatkhawa & Mahakal
Today’s full-day excursion covers Buxa Tiger Reserve, Jayanti, Rajabhatkhawa, and Mahakal Mandir. Buxa is known for its forest landscapes and wildlife such as leopard, Asian elephant, Indian gaur, and many other species.
Later, enjoy the scenic beauty of Jayanti riverside, located beside the Bhutan hills, followed by visits to Rajabhatkhawa and nearby forest areas. Return to the hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7 – Jaldapara Safari & Return from Hasimara
On the final day, visit Jaldapara National Park for the famous elephant safari, followed by sightseeing at South Khayerbari Leopard Park. This area is well known for one-horned rhinos, elephants, bisons, peacocks, and other wildlife.
After lunch, check out from the hotel and transfer to Hasimara Railway Station for your onward journey, carrying unforgettable memories of your Dooars trip.
